UNDER SAILS FOR THE FIRST TIME     10.06.2008

A short three hour sail test of the first TheOne design took place on the sea in front of Izola today. Though not entirely completed (lifelines, bowsprit, engine,..), the design team put the boat through a brief test sail to confirm the rig and deck gear settings. Excitement and concern gradually turned into joy and enthusiasm with every completed tack or gybe. All expectations were undoubtedly met, the handling and performance under sails were exhilarating, so no wonder a lot of happy faces were seen as the boat returned to the shipyard. Next week extensive trials of a finished boat with all the sails and in various conditions are planed.

LAUNCH OF THE PROTOTYPE     09.06.2008

No. 1 has arrived to Izola Yachting Centre this morning and all necessary preparations have been done for a brief 'on the water' test scheduled for tomorrow. Keel and rudder assembly, setting up the rig and the launch itself went on as planed.

WAITING FOR PAINT AND TRANSPORT     29.05.2008

First TheOne design boat has taken its shape this week. Hull and deck are to be painted and deck gear is to be mounted during the next couple of days. Everybody is anxiously awaiting its arrival to the Slovenian coast.

CASTS READY FOR ASSEMBLY     06.05.2008

Today the last 'big piece', the deck, was successfully made. In the next days boat No. 1 will begin taking it's final shape. Since all gear and equipment is already on stock, finalization should proceed by plan, taking in regard the additional time needed to prepare templates for further production. HULL No. 1 OUT OF THE MOULD     14.04.2008

A couple of days ago production of TheOne design sailboats actually began. The first hull was made and now we are waiting for the first deck to be made. Obviously the first boat will hit the water with about a month of delay  regarding the most optimistic predictions, but this should in no way influence the delivery of already ordered boats.

EQUIPMENT ON STOCK     7.04.2008

Last pieces of gear for the first ten boats ( masts, booms, standing rigging, ... ) have arrived to Izola today.

PRODUCTION TO BEGIN     10.03.2008

Deck and hull moulds are finished and being prepared for casting of the first boat. We will have photos published as soon as the first hull is out of the mould.

FLEET OF TEN      15.01. 2008

Hulls number seven through ten have been bought by a company in Italy, engaged in similar activities as Cleanport d.o.o.. The four boats will be based near Trieste and the agreement is to join both fleets when ten boats are needed for events.

GONE ASYMMETRIC     15.11.2007

In part following prevailing trends, but mainly from taking in respect the desires of customers and own viewpoints, an asymmetrical spinnaker with a retractable bow-sprit vas decided upon instead of a symmetrical spinnaker and a classical spinnaker pole.

IN HOUSE FLEET     06.11.2007

The first six boats are to join the Cleanport fleet. Though one of main reason for keeping the first boats in our own fleet is in the important upcoming sailing events during 2008 season, the decision was also based on the urge of forming a demo base, where all interested clients will have an opportunity to sail and thoroughly evaluate the boat.

EVERYTHING SET     12.10.2007

Final agreements have been reached and contracts signed between Cleanport (who will market the boat) and Prel.ex (the boat builder). Now the work on modeling of tools leading to production can begin. The first boat should hit the water in April 2008.

SHAPING UP     Summer 2007

Design of the hull and deck, basic dimensions, equipment and construction materials have been determined. A decision was made, to define some of the details during the phase of model production and make final specification only after the first boat is tested.
